For AG Real Estate, I am looking for a Transaction Legal Advisor with 2 to 5 years of experience. Fluent in French or Dutch, with good command of the other language and very good command of English.

Function

Within the Legal & Tax department, you work as a Legal Advisor focusing on real estate transactions (investment/development). Under the supervision of the Head of, you are responsible for the legal aspects related to the sale and acquisition of buildings and real estate companies, the financing of real estate projects and development projects:

  • You draft and review documents related to real estate transactions (shareholders' agreement, promise to sell, purchase, sale, promotion agreement, building lease, long term lease, construction agreements...) and participate in negotiations
  • You prepare, analyse, evaluate (risk assessment) and negotiate contracts related to development projects: architects agreements, service contracts, BET...; purchase, sale and option contracts (during the commercialisation of the project); all kinds of real estate contracts such as leases, precarious occupancy agreements, long term contracts, building lease...); related deeds (such as easements, basic deeds, volumes...)
  • You occasionally provide advice on real estate-related matters (including environmental and/or urban planning permits, soil, energy performance...)
  • In a constructive manner, you try to resolve disputes out of court within the established contractual framework, and you manage any disputes (with the help of external advisors)
  • You provide legal training and guidance to operational and technical colleagues in the business lines
  • You study and monitor legal developments in the relevant areas
  • You draft, adapt and update standard contracts (in particular, NDA, head of terms, letter of interest...)

Profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in law
  • You have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • You have proven skills in real estate M&A
  • You are a good communicator and flexible
  • You are proactive and have a sense of initiative
  • You have excellent organisational skills
  • You are service-oriented and enjoy working in a team, but are also able to function independently
  • You are fluent in French or Dutch and have a good knowledge of the other language. You have a very good command of English
