Associate Competition and European Law | Top-Tier Law Firm

For a leading independent Belgian law firm, I am looking for an Associate with 3 to 4 years' experience in Competition Law. Fluent in Dutch and excellent command of English.

The firm is a leading independent business law firm located in Brussels. Its Competition/EU Law and FDI team is a close-knit team of legal experts specialising in providing strategic advice and representation in competition law, foreign direct investment, and general European law. Its lawyers work collaboratively on complex and high-profile cases that shape industries and markets. 

The team’s work encompasses all aspects of competition law (restrictive practices, merger control, state aid).

You will also work in the field of foreign direct investment and may also be called upon to work on cases before the EU courts, in matters of general European law and to provide advice in such matters.

• You hold a first-class Belgian law degree and have achieved excellent academic results
• You have 3 to 4 years' experience in competition law, with a solid understanding of EU and Belgian regulations and policies
• You are passionate about competition law, FDI and general European law and ready to make an impact
• You have a sharp legal mind and a proven ability to analyse complex legal and regulatory issues
• You are motivated to further develop your expertise and build strong client relationships
• You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and contributing to shared goals
• You are fluent in Dutch and have an excellent command of English. Knowledge of French is a plus
