Fonction
Within the Legal & Tax department, you will be part of a young, dynamic and versatile team, where you will be able to plan, prioritise and organise your work. As a Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for drafting, assessing, monitoring and negotiating various contracts for the different business lines (retail, offices, logistics, nursing homes, public buildings...). This applies to both investments and development projects, with a particular focus on public real estate projects.
With your commercial flair, you provide pragmatic solutions without overlooking the legal aspects. This includes:
- Preparing, assessing (risk analysis) and negotiating requests for participation and public tenders (real estate development, DBFM or similar projects), agreements with contractors (and/or ESCO's) and architects, partnership contracts, contracts for the disposal of real estate assets (ordinary leases, commercial leases, DBFM, concessions, precarious occupancy contracts, usufruct contracts...) and related deeds (easements, basic deeds, volumes...)
- Preparing opinions on (public) real estate law (in particular public procurement, environmental and/or planning permits, soil, renewable energies, construction/energy performance contracts...)
- Studying and monitoring legal developments and case law in the above-mentioned areas in collaboration with your colleagues
- Preparing models and standard contracts in the above-mentioned areas in collaboration with your colleagues
Profil
- You hold a Master’s degree in law
- You have 5 to 7 years' experience in public real estate law, particularly in public procurement (works contracts) and in energy or urban planning/environmental law
- You are curious, rigorous (detail-oriented) and pragmatic
- You are proactive and have a sense of initiative
- You are an excellent communicator (both written and spoken)
- You are flexible and stress-resistant
- You are service-oriented and enjoy working in a team, but are also able to function independently
- You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a good knowledge of the other language
